DPS Group, a privately owned, global engineering, procurement, construction management and validation firm serving high-tech process industries, has hired Kurt Kashuba as director of construction.

Reporting to Carl Bradbury, senior director of construction at DPS Group, Kashuba will oversee all field staff in the construction management group and work closely with clients to ensure the successful execution of capital projects.

Kashuba brings more than 25 years of experience devoted to management, design and operations for pharmaceutical, biotech and semiconductor industries. After managing key assignments that have played important roles for some of the leading manufacturers in these industries, he has exceptional knowledge of process equipment and modern manufacturing techniques for cGMP compliance, according to DPS.

Kashuba has been responsible for overall management, engineering, procurement and construction of major projects from commitment through completion and client acceptance. Prior to joining DPS, he was the director of construction management for A/Z Corporation where he was responsible for projects for Sanofi, Emergent, Nitto Avecia, and many other leading manufactures. Previously, he was a project manager with McGrath & Company where he oversaw construction performance and productivity of laborers associated with the Parsons Construction Project of Suites 7 and 8 Utility Systems at Lonza Biologics, among other projects.

DPS is based in Framingham.

St. Mary’s Credit Union in Marlborough recently promoted three Credit Union officers.

Will Yager

Will Yager of Charlton has been promoted to vice president of Indirect Lending. Yager is now responsible for credit decisioning, funding, compliance, portfolio management and generating loan volume within the organization’s Indirect Consumer Lending department, which provides vital lending volume to the Credit Union.

His leadership for St. Mary’s during unprecedented economic events allowed loan production to be maintained at projected levels during unpredictable times, according to St. Mary’s. Yager joined SMCU in 2011 and previously served as assistant vice president of Indirect Lending.

Beth Bertonassi

Beth Bertonassi of Marlborough, formerly of Hudson, has been promoted to assistant vice president of Learning and Development. Bertonassi joined St. Mary’s Credit Union in 2003 as a part-time teller while still attending high school. Throughout her career at St. Mary’s, she has worked in various roles within the Credit Union leading to her promotion, where she fosters a learning organizational culture. Her commitment to learning and community is evident in her passion for presenting financial literacy classes to local schools and participation in other community events, according to St. Mary’s. Bertonassi is also a member of the Association for Talent and Development.

Amy Mallette

Amy Mallette of West Warren has been promoted to assistant vice president and real estate lending officer. Mallette joined the Credit Union in 2000 after 26 years in banking. She was the branch manager at the South Bolton Street branch in Marlborough for five years until overseeing Home Equity Lending for the Credit Union for the past 16 years, where she maintains the pipeline, coaches the processors, supports retail and is dedicated to servicing our members, according to St. Mary’s. Mallette also assists within the Mortgage Department and in a variety of Credit Union projects.

Dr. Darrolyn McCarroll, an internist in Franklin, has been selected as the Bristol North District Medical Society’s 2021 Community Clinician of the Year, an award recognizing her professionalism and contributions as a physician.   

McCarroll was nominated for her longtime contributions in caring for her patients who suffer from addiction.
