MADISON – (Phyllis) Jean Brown Frank died on the evening of Monday, March 15, 2021, in Madison. Jean was born in Iowa Metropolis, Iowa, in 1934, the daughter of Dr. Merle J. and Lisette E. Brown.

Jean graduated from Davenport Central Significant University in 1952. Soon after graduation, she was initiated into the P.E.O. Sisterhood, and savored taking part in philanthropic actions through area P.E.O. chapters throughout her lifetime. She attended Iowa Condition Higher education and the College of Iowa in Iowa City, Iowa, wherever she received a Bachelor of Arts degree in journalism in 1956. She was a member of the Chi Omega sorority and Theta Sigma Phi national journalism honorary.

Jean started her job in general public relations at the College of Nebraska University of Medicine and University of Nursing. She subsequently worked in media and publicity with Bowling Inexperienced Point out University. Even though in Bowling Eco-friendly, Jean satisfied, dated, and married accounting professor Werner Frank, and they commenced their relatives. Jean and Werner moved to Madison in 1964. Jean became energetic in the University League and Commerce League. She labored at the Jane Haslem Artwork Gallery, Madison District Nurses’ Association, Wisconsin Nurses’ Association, and the College of Wisconsin University of Business enterprise for the duration of her occupation in publications. Jean appreciated time spent with close friends, groups, and relatives. She appreciated the visible and accomplishing arts, and beloved birdwatching, gardening, cooking, and traveling.

She is survived by her three kids, Susan Frank (Middleton, Wis.), Diana Frank Johnson (Geneseo, Sick.), and Margaret Frank (Katy, Texas) as nicely as 4 grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, her sister, and her mom and dad.
