John Vander WertJohn J. Vander Wert, Jr. was born on December 6, 1928, at the Mercy Clinic in Oskaloosa, Iowa. He was the oldest of 5 youngsters that had been born to John E. and Henrietta (Steenhoek) Vander Wert.
