Kathleen White (1940 – 2021) | The Consummate Neighborhood and County Volunteer

Kathy went to be with the Lord on February 14, 2021 following a prolonged fight with cancer. She passed with her husband, Wealthy, at her side.
Kathy was born Kathleen Annette McCoy to Lester and Gladyce McCoy on July 1, 1940 in Los Angeles. She grew up in Downey, CA and attended Downey Significant College where she was lively in many businesses and graduated in 1958. From Downey she went to Extended Beach front Condition Higher education and majored in Enterprise Instruction and graduated in 1962. She achieved her future partner Loaded White in an accounting course. She and Rich were being married in 1962 immediately after graduation. They lived in Orange County for 4 years although she taught and then began a spouse and children. The following 12 yrs were put in in Extensive Beach wherever they owned a small grocery keep and Kathy catered meals for church and YMCA teams.
The spouse and children moved to Independence in 1978. They grew to become extremely energetic in Independence and Inyo County functions. Kathy has been quite lively in Sierra Baptist Church, Independence Fire Dept., Japanese California Museum, Inyo Associates, Independence Civic Club, Independence Lions and others. Kathy taught business enterprise courses at Lone Pine Large School from 1980 to 1995 when she retired from instructing. They then owned a few motels in Independence for 10 a long time wherever the motels were brought up to contemporary benchmarks.
She and Prosperous created, designed and staffed the Inyo County Condition Reasonable exhibit for 14 a long time and won a lot of awards. They also gained the 2014 Inyo Register Perpetual Motion award.
Kathy is survived by her spouse Wealthy, of Independence, son Alan of Paradise, CA and his little ones Matt and Sarah, son Jim and spouse Kristi of Prolonged Beach and little ones Melissa and Jason, sister Jackie McCoy of Topeka, brother-in-regulation Stu of Seal Seaside, sister-in-legislation Judi Tamplin of Huge Bear Lake and many nieces and nephews.
A memorial company will be held on May perhaps 15 at 2 PM in Independence at the Japanese California Museum lawn.
