RANDOLPH — Lowell James Wilcox, 73, of Billion Greenback Highway, Randolph, handed away on May well 9, 2021 at household just after a transient ailment with colon cancer.

He was born July 15, 1947, in Jamestown, N.Y., to Reah Irene (Crooks) Wilcox and the late Ward W. Wilcox.

Lowell was a 1965 graduate of Randolph Central Faculty and SUNY Geneseo. He honorably served in the U.S. Air Force from May 31, 1966 to January 19, 1970, rank of sergeant, where by he served in the course of the Vietnam War Period – Cam Ranh Bay, Vietnam. He was a member of the Randolph American Legion Post 181 and Veterans of Foreign War Submit 6533 in East Randolph, N.Y.

Lowell worked for quite a few accounting firms in the spot, as well as the economic officer of the Co-Operative Insurance plan Firm of WNY in Randolph, an shortly right after opened his have tax accounting business enterprise in 1995. He served as the volunteer treasurer/board member of the Randolph Free Library and treasurer of the Randolph Region Development Corp.

Lowell was an avid audio lover of diverse genres. For many decades, he was active in the Barbershop singing neighborhood. He is survived by his spouse, Susan (Bennett), whom he married on May well 30, 1992 his young children: Thomas Wilcox and Susan M. Wilcox of Randolph three stepsons: Daniel (Dana) Myers of Franklin, Mass., Jarrett (Vicky) Myers of Milford, Mass., and Brian Myers of Killeen, Texas and grandchildren: Alexis, Anastasia and Brayden Myers of Massachusetts his mother, Reah of Randolph a sister, Diane Carpenter of Randolph brothers: Jeffrey (Diana) Wilcox of Clover, S.C., and Jon (Bonnie) Wilcox of Falconer, N.Y. brother and nister-in-law, Joe and Cheryl Mattern, Newark, Del. and a number of nieces and nephews.

He is pre-deceased by his father, Ward Wilcox (Oct 29, 1989).

At his request, there will be no visitation. A celebration of his lifestyle is prepared for Friday, May well 14, 2021. from 4-7 p.m., at the Randolph Fireplace Hall, 70 Principal St., Randolph, NY 14772.
