Robert Dimicco

Mr. Robert F. Dimicco passed away Sunday, December 13, 2020 at 5 am in The Villages, FL. He was born on February 25, 1930 in Olean, NY and is the son of the late Frank Dimicco and Marjorie Braun.  He was preceded in dying by his moms and dads, a few sisters: Katherine Shields, Constance Kehoe and Lois Kessler and twin brother, Richard.

He served in the U.S. Navy from 1951-1955 and was assigned to the USS Taconic for the duration of the Korean War.  He graduated from Olean Superior University in 1947 and from St Bonaventure with a Bachelor’s diploma in Small business Administration and Accounting in 1961.  Using generally night time classes even though doing the job at the To start with Nationwide Lender of Olean, he acquired his Master’s Degree in Educational Administration from St. Bonaventure in 1970. Although operating at the financial institution, he satisfied his wife, Nancy Rhae Patterson, of Bolivar, NY and they have been married on November 26, 1960.  He labored as the Credit history Supervisor at St. Francis Clinic in Olean and in sales at Burroughs Corporation.  He was a Enterprise Teacher at Olean High School from 1962-1966, served on the Olean Local community Improvement Board in 1964 and was Republican Supervisor of Ward 4, Olean, NY in 1965.  He was the Organization and Vocational Instructor at Cattaraugus BOCES from 1966-1968.  During his time in Olean, he was lively in the neighborhood obtaining served as the Olean Junior Varsity Football Coach, Olean Significant College Freshman Basketball Coach and St. Bonaventure Men’s Basketball timekeeper. He served as Treasurer of the New York Point out Jaycees and was lively in a lot of instructional associations and Muscular Dystrophy.  He was an avid Buffalo Bills supporter.

From 1968-1970, he was the Higher School Principal at Newfield, NY Central School and then grew to become the Principal at Harpursville, NY Substantial Faculty until 1977.  He went on to turn into the Principal and Superintendent at Chautauqua Central University in Chautauqua, NY exactly where he remained until his retirement in June of 1990.  Throughout his time in the Chautauqua region, he was energetic in the neighborhood as a member of the Veterans’ of International Wars (VFW) Post and the American Legion in Mayville, NY.  He also was a member of the Chautauqua Fireplace Section and region United Way, served as Director of the Mayville-Chautauqua Lion’s Club, was on the N.Y. Condition Council of Superintendents and served as President, Vice President and Secretary/Treasurer of the Chautauqua County Council of Superintendents.

He was a member of St Timothy’s Catholic Church in the Villages in which he was an usher for 18 several years as well as a reader.  Though dwelling in Nineveh, NY he was a member of St Agnes Catholic Church in Afton, NY.  In Chautauqua, NY, he was a member of and lector at St Mary’s Catholic Church in Mayville, NY.

He is survived by his spouse of sixty years, Nancy (Patterson) his son Robert and spouse Cathy (Vargas) of Saratoga, CA, granddaughters Kimberly (fiance Joe) and Kara his son David of The Villages his son Richard and Eileen (Reichert) of Charleston, SC, grandson Dominik and granddaughter Brianna and his son Daniel and Ann (Martin) of Las Vegas, NV, granddaughter Abby and grandson Alex his brother-in-regulation Paul Patterson (Palm Bay, FL) nieces Martha Kessler-Huckins, Marjorie Kessler-French, Kris Shields, and nephews Kevin Kehoe, Daniel Kehoe, Kip Shields.

The loved ones will receive mates and visitors at Hiers-Baxley Funeral Dwelling, 3975 Wedgewood Lane, The Villages, FL 32162 on Saturday, December 19th, 2020 from 1-3 pm (masks are needed inside of the funeral household).  There will be a funeral mass at St. Timothy’s Catholic Church in The Villages, FL on Monday, December 21st at 8:30 am.  Burial will be at Chautauqua Cemetery in NY at a upcoming day.
