Tarleton staff members honored at awards banquet

STEPHENVILLE — Tarleton Point out University’s Workers Awards Banquet, recognizing the fantastic attempts of university workers, lately honored winners of eight specific awards for both of those 2020 and 2021.

Honorees from last 12 months were noted at the 2021 function since the banquet was canceled last yr thanks to the pandemic. The recipients:

• 2020 Horizon Award — Callie Fender

The Horizon Award recognizes a staff member who volunteers time or methods to the neighborhood or who is active with an group that supplies Tarleton college students leadership and company chances.

Fender, Improvement Officer for the Department of Progress in the Division of Institutional Progression, has been with the college due to the fact 2017. She acquired her bachelor’s in interaction reports and speech communication from Tarleton in 2012.

She is active in the community, serving as a Tarleton Ambassador for the Stephenville Chamber of Commerce and attending regular monthly neighborhood networking functions. She allows coordinate Tarleton volunteer help for group gatherings.

She also performs with tutorial deans in a fundraising potential.

• 2021 Horizon Award — Darrell Brown

Brown, Executive Director for Pupil Affairs, Outreach and Management, was nominated as a tireless advocate for the university. He encourages college students with vigor and is a consistent contributor in all forms of company.

• 2020 University High quality Provider Award — Lauren Gillespie

Gillespie goes the more mile, exemplifying commitment to Tarleton though preserving an upbeat attitude. Now an Govt Assistant in the President’s Business, she formerly was the Administrative Coordinator for the College or university of Science and Technological innovation in the Division of Educational Affairs.
