Jerry Duane Wallace, 86, of Dalton, Ga, handed absent peacefully at Hamilton Medical Middle Wednesday, December 30, 2020.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Lewis Duane and Mary Frances Wallace sister, Jackie Wallace and brother, Lavon Wallace. 

He is survived by his loving devoted wife and most effective mate of 64 decades, Joyce Troglen Wallace of Dalton.  He is also survived by his son and daughter-in-law, Jeff and Lea Anne Wallace of Savannah grandchildren, Anne Keese Wallace of Savannah and Wright Wallace of Dallas, Texas along with six nieces and two nephews whom he loved dearly.

Jerry was born in Rome, Ga., grew up in Rossville, Ga., and graduated from Rossville Large School. He excelled in sports in his youth the place he lettered in football and baseball. After substantial faculty, Jerry enlisted in the US Maritime Corps serving eight a long time of equally active responsibility and as a reservist till 1962.  Even though in the Maritime Corps, he was stationed in Mount Fuji, Japan soon right after the end of the Korean War.  He was awarded the National Protection Assistance Medal, Professional Marksmanship Medal alongside with other company awards.  Jerry done his college or university experiments at the University of Tennessee in Chattanooga earning a degree in accounting.   He began his business profession in Atlanta but returned to Dalton accepting a posture at Aladdin Mills, then Mohawk Industries, that spanned 43 yrs.

Jerry experienced many hobbies and passions that ranged from woodworking, softball leagues, bowling leagues, chess, and tennis.  His most avid pastime was playing golfing exactly where he could be discovered on the program below blue skies, wind, or rain.

Jerry’s lifestyle was dedicated to his family whom he supported in innumerable methods.  He was a beloved husband, father, grandfather, and uncle.  He cared deeply about his pals, those that he worked with, his church family members, and primarily his wife and grandchildren.  He was a trustworthy member of the Central Church of Christ of Dalton.

The relatives would also like to accept the a lot of hands and superb care that Jerry obtained at each Dalton Area Neighborhood and Hamilton Health-related Middle.  A private household memorial provider will be held.
